Wedding in December
Ms. Shumaine asked me to create her wedding cake that would be something out of the ordinary. We looked at several designs and decided on a cherry blossom motif, only using shades of purple.

Avery's 4th Birthday!
Trains! Trains! Trains! That is what this 4 year old loves and wanted on his cake! Mom wanted 3 tiers, one chocolate, one lemon, and one almond butter, AND "curly-cues" on top! So....here it is!
University of Alabama Graduation Celebration!
The mom of a recent University of Alabama Honor Graduate asked for a cake to help with the celebration. The cake is lemon with vanilla buttercream and fondant decorations.

Up Against a Brick Wall
Up against a brick wall--
It appears to be a dead end--
I bang my head until I understand
This is an invitation to turn [not stop]
or go around [not quit]
or dig a tunnel [not give up]
or build a bridge [not surrender]
I will slam against this wall
as long as it takes to realize
That turning changes my question
from "Why me?" to "Now where?"
and then I am on my way again.
