Up Against a Brick Wall

Up against a brick wall--
It appears to be a dead end--
I bang my head until I understand
This is an invitation to turn [not stop]
or go around [not quit]
or dig a tunnel [not give up]
or build a bridge [not surrender]
I will slam against this wall
as long as it takes to realize
That turning changes my question
from "Why me?" to "Now where?"
and then I am on my way again.

  1. Well, that post was certainly a good reminder...asking "Now Where" makes much better sense.

And it goes right along with (to paraphrase),

give thanks in all things (even brick walls).-God.
