Roses, Roses, Roses

A Thanksgiving weekend wedding cake.

WWF Cake for a Happy Little Boy!

Hayden looks happy with his WWF cake!

A former student called for a birthday cake for her 7 year old son.  When I asked what kind of cake, there was no hesitation at all!  WRESTLING!  I wasn't sure exactly HOW I would design such a cake, but I knew there were some "musts" for such a cake. So I did a wrestling ring with a championship belt and a wrestler [who lost his head before the party...LITERALLY lost his head :( ]

Avi Turns 40!!

What a fun time we had celebrating Dr. Avi's 40th birthday!

Hayden is 10...and LOVES to play football!

Hayden and his friends, celebrating his 10th birthday!
My first-born grandson, Hayden, turned 10 years old this year, which is very hard for Mamaw to believe. And this is the very first year he played football and who could have guessed that his team would win the championship!!!

When he began to plan his birthday, there was not question -- Hayden wanted a football cake!  So I began to plan a crimson/white, houndstooth cake...but NO, he wanted a cake for HIS team, the Tuscaloosa County blue/white team!!
Still celebrating -- but with new hairstyles, what's up with THAT??!!! :)
Gotta love 10 year olds!

Down By the Pond!

My son-in-law, Shawne, loves the outdoors. He loves to hunt, he loves the beach, he loves to play outdoors with Joshua and Mei-Anna!  So when his birthday came, I had a little fun with his cake.

Happy Birthday, Shawne.  What a blessing you are to our family.

Another Gymnastics Lover!

Happy Birthday, Anna-Scott! I hope this cake is EXACTLY what you hoped it would be!  Have a great time!

Fairy Tales Do Come True

"Fairy Tales Do Come True" was the title of the photo album with pictures of Amy and Sam's wedding.  I was fortunate enough to be asked to create a cupcake tower for their reception!  Congrats to both of you; may you have many, many years of fairy tales!

Baby Boy Shower Tower

Connie asked for a cupcake tower with 2 dozen cupcakes for the soon-to-be mother of a little boy.  She even gave me a piece of the fabric she was using for a table runner.   Here is the fabric:

Mei-Anna's Shoe Cake

Mei-Anna is my only granddaughter and always will be.  I could write extensively about how God placed her in our family, how He knew exactly who her parents should be...even if they lived half way around the world, how He has His healing hand on her, how He has used HER to help ME heal, how He has allowed us to be blessed by her determination, sweetness, and, yes, stubbornness.

Mei-Anna when Kim and Shawne first met her in China.

In China after meeting her Momma and Papa

BUT...that's not my story this evening.  My story this evening is about Mei-Anna's 6th birthday cake.  What did she ask for on her cake? Shoes.   Just shoes.  That's it.  MEI-ANNA LOVES SHOES!  So here is what she got for her party!

Happy Mei-Anna Today!
